So I landed in Hong Kong pretty late at night and needed a jazzy nightlife to really experience the city.
Le 188°
I head-up to the Bar in the hotel (you can check-out of my review of this amazing hotel here) on the top floor. Its Le 188° and offers stunning views of Victoria Harbour
I start with a Lychee Martini to kick-off proceedings and its super sweet with the sugary lychee taste and is set against the beautiful neon lights of the city which cast a reflective glow on the harbour.
The Tuna Sashimi is flowing with the oils of the tuna, the fresh salad, juicy ripe tomatoes and crisps. Its such a light to dish for the evening.
Beef Burger Sliders
The rich juicy beef patties, ripe tomatoes and a soft plush bun with a delightful tangy sauce, its just what I needed. The epitome of comfort food.
Then there are the prawn spring rolls, beautiful crunchy pastry with soft succulent prawns encased inside combined with a creamy tangy wasabi sauce to just create the perfect flavour and texture extravaganza on my tongue.
Finally an Australian red to finish off proceedings…
Caprice Bar
I then ask the concierge, which bar is open late at night… I offer a list of places I want to visit. He regretfully informs me they all closed. However he notes that Caprice Bar in the Fourseasons Hotel is open. I hop into a taxi and soon I am nestled in a lovely lounge sofa.
I am then able to secure a table by the window and sip on a rich velvety French wine with a Caprice Collins cocktail with a light touch of gin and beautiful fresh fruity raspberries.
The view continues to captivate me….
I then enjoy a final snack of duck pate. Rich velvety creamy dish is the such a wonderful taste experience when combined with a lovely wine with similar same rich velvety fruit characteristics, I couldn’t fully convey the satisfaction I had with the dish.
Its well past midnight… and I so need some sleep!
