So I am in Beijing and it proves to be a wonderful day. I am staying at the Sofitel Wanda in the Chaoyang district (which features many of the embassies, bars and a is a key part of Beijing’s CBD). It proves to be a very enjoyable stay!
The bathroom is beautiful with polished dark cream marble and wonderful light wooden fixtures giving it an aura of decadence. I just fall in love with it straight away!
There is a deep spacious soaking tub which proves to the epitome of sensuous luxury!
A choice of a hand shower or rainforest shower is available for those who don’t have time to enjoy the bathtub!
There is a clear glass window which allows you to see from the bedroom into the bathroom, although there is a motorised blind if you want some cover!
The panorama shot!
The views of Beijing city are quite lovely from the room!
Through the “Looking Glass”!
The lobby is full of beautiful marble columns, oriental artwork and plush sofa furnishings from yesteryear. It is quite a treat to sit and enjoy a lovely lunch in a charming setting.
Such beautiful artwork indeed!
A Club Sandwich and a lovely glass of Chilean wine proves to be the perfect tonic for this lovely afternoon.
The buffet breakfast at the hotel is quite amazing with a fantastic spread of western and oriental variety to suit all palates.
I choose a classic East meets West Breakfast combination: Eggs Benedict with Tea Smoked Egg side, Chinese Dumplings with Chinese Pancake and Fruit Pastry and Cucumber Juice. The perfect sustenance for the day ahead!
