Overview
I am in Milan for the day, having just touched down here from the Italian Riviera. I only have one night in this beautiful city, so I head to the famous Piazza del Duomo.
Duomo di Milano
The sight of the the Duomo di Milano is stunning!! It is awe inspiring, especially when you consider the persecution which Christians faced under Emperor Nero and to see so many Churches now in Italy like this one today, it is quite something. This would have to be one of the most majestic churches in the world.
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
This is one of the worlds oldest shopping malls, named after Vittorio Emanuele II (the First King of Itay, who came from Sardinia and unifed Italy in 1861). He is actually buried in the Pantheon in Rome (which is a must see sight if you are in Rome).
It is such a beautiful shopping mall, full of tourists, luxury brands and beautiful fashionistas.
People Watching
On the topic of fashionistas, I grab a beautiful aperol spritz and do some people watching in the Piazza del Duomo.
Other
There are some beautiful pictures of random things I took! Here they are for completeness.
