So I am in Antwerp now at one of my favourite hotels… the Hilton! The Hilton has a beautiful hotel in Antwerp’s old town which overlooks the majestic cathedral and is close to the canal / river and has plenty of cafes around with a the right level of foot traffic to people watch!
The staff are so amazing! They look after every need (taxis, special requests etc.) – like most Hilton Hotels they really know service.
We are staying at the Ambassador Suite – a spacious suite that is the epitome of luxury! It is one of the better suites in the Hilton chain and perfect for our stay.

The Suite
I couldn’t describe the expansiveness of the suite… my camera was too small to capture the room’s size, so I have taken plenty of photos to show the lovely suite. It’s such a beautiful room and I don’t think the pictures do it any justice.
The bed and duvet are oh so plush and comfortable, there is a beautiful work desk for me to work on my blog at night, a sofa to sit and contemplate the moments of travel that just have you in awe, and a beautiful bathtub with a powerful shower, where the foamy silky Peter Thomas Roth bath amenities wash away the stress and troubles of the day just gone.

The Executive Lounge
The reason I choose the Hilton in most cases is the Executive Lounge. The perfect place to relax, have some pre-dinner canapes before tackling the nightlife, a private breakfast and the charm of sitting in the plush sofas and watching the travel-set mingle and socialise.
The Lounge has beautiful terrace where one can collect a glass wine and just sip it and admire the historical cathedral.
The Terrace at the Executive Lounge
The Lounge itself is beautiful with some plush antique sofas – a very much like an old English library room.
The Lounge
The canapes in the lounge were lovely – there were mini burgers, quiches, prawn rolls, cheese and nuts and lovely Italian Wine.
This hotel is amazing and if I ever came back to Antwerp I probably would stay here… However there was one let down; there was only one staff member serving the entire Executive Lounge. As a result there weren’t enough wine glasses, the food was not refilled from the initial serving (most lounges actually have continuous service for canape / drinks timeframe) and wine took ages to be restocked.
I hope this is fixed soon – but I wouldn’t let it detract from my experience here which was absolutely lovely.
