So I find myself on the beautiful Italian Riviera which has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. There is such a relaxing feel to walking through a range of cliff face fishing villages which have been transformed into resorts but still retain their sense of style and nautical past.
I am staying in Camogli, a lovely fishing village / resort in between the towns of Recco and Santa Margherita Ligure at the Hotel Cenobio Dei Dogi. The hotel is perched on a cliff overlooking the sea and enjoys a private beach. The hotel epitomises old school charm and friendly family-style service.
Entrance
The hotel has the most magnificent courtyard with plenty of greens and the stone buildings.
Pool and Terrace
The view of the Terrace and Pool overlooking the Mediterranean is simply spectacular! The glimpse of the sun setting and escaping into the horizon while sipping on a cocktail is the most delightful experience one could imagine. I just love the view and find myself here almost every afternoon with an Aperol Spritz or Campari in hand.
Room
The room is comfortable with a beautiful old school minimalist decor and a view of the beach from the main window.
Breakfast
It can be tough to wake-up for breakfast in the morning – but not with this view. There is a great selection of scrambled eggs, cured meats, cheese and sweet bakery items to choose from for breakfast.
I certainly had an enjoyable stay and will be back to visit.
