The Hotel
So I have landed in New York (you can read about my flight across the Atlantic here) and I arrive at the gorgeous Conrad New York. I am greeted by its expansive lobby which has a modernistic space shuttle kind of décor. I always feel at home in New York!
I am checked in by the friendly staff and then head up to my suite. I dial-in to some work conference calls on my first night and then head out for a little dinner before falling asleep on the bed from some serious jet lag.
The View
The morning after; the light breaks through the clouds and wanders into the room. I rub the sleep from eyes and clutch my blanket before I eventually surrender to day break and sit up on my bed for what I thought would be a fleeting moment before turning to the security of my bed sheets. But this is the view I have (below). New York, you are so beautiful! I gaze as if there is nothing else around me….I am drawn from the comfort of my bed to the window and I just marvel at this beautiful city. I think time stood still for just that moment.
Overview of the Hudson River Suite
It would be crime to focus on the view and neglect the rest of the suite. Here is a little video of the Hudson River Suite:

Some Suite Snaps
The spacious suite has a Lounge Area, Nespresso, Full Bar, Plasma TV and a separate Bedroom enclosure with privacy blinds. Here are some choice snaps:
The shower is a haven in itself!
The epitome of de-stress: Free-flowing Rainforest Shower, Plush Bathrobes and wonderful products from Aromatherapy Associates
Looks absolutely amazing! The Conrad New York also offers a decent value for the money. The only real issue in my opinion is the location of the property. If you have to in uptown, it’s just a little too far away from everything :/
